There is a popular spot along the Raritan Bay that people love coming to – the Old Bridge Waterfront Park.

The park is now looking a little better than it did before, thanks to a few dozen people.

Fifty people descended on the beach to mark Earth Day this week to clean up trash. The volunteers all work for Wakefern and the ShopRite in Old Bridge.

Together, they filled 30 bags with trash, cigarettes and plastic bottles. Last year, some of these same volunteers took 400 pounds of trash out of this very same park.
