Cops are looking for suspects after a 21-year-old Bronx man was shot and killed less than a block away from his home.
According to police, Richard Kelly was found with gunshot wounds to his legs and back at the corner of East 152nd Street and Union Avenue in Longwood. It happened at around 10:15 p.m. Monday.
The victim's girlfriend says she was hanging out with friends and Kelly, who many know as Richie Black, on her patio. She says at least three people came out of a nearby liquor store and got into an altercation with them, which soon escalated.
Kelly was rushed to Lincoln Hospital and pronounced dead. A makeshift memorial now sits outside his building at the Adams Houses, where loved ones say he lived with his mother and younger brother.
Authorities have not disclosed how many shots were fired, and say no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
