Starting Monday, one lane on the Cross County Parkway is closing down from now until next summer for paving.
The NYSOT says it is specifically happening on the eastbound side in Yonkers. The right lane will be closed from Exit 4 heading to I-87 and Exit 5 to Kimball Ave.
The closure is already in place and is set to go until sometime next summer. A specific end date for completion has not been revealed yet.
In the meantime, NYSDOT officials urge drivers to slow down while roadwork is happening. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in your license being suspended.
