A newly obtained autopsy report provides additional details about the death of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old Chester Township woman found slain inside her home in June.
Emergency personnel and Chester Township police responded to a 911 call at a home on Pottersville Road on June 6, where they found Hanlon dead.
The seven-page report from the Morris County Medical Examiner's Office confirms that Hanlon died from sharp-force injuries and that her death was ruled a homicide, findings previously announced by prosecutors.
The autopsy was performed June 7 at Morristown Medical Center. Investigators from the Chester Township Police Department, Morris County Sheriff's Office and Morris County Prosecutor's Office were present.

Descriptions of Hanlon's injuries, including their locations and severity, were largely redacted from the released report.
The document also indicates that a blood sample was submitted for toxicology testing, with a separate report to be issued.
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office previously said the investigation was ongoing and that additional information was being withheld to protect its integrity.
