Two Hammonton teenagers face attempted murder charges following a months-long investigation into an Easter Sunday drive-by shooting.

The suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Antonio Martinez and an unnamed 17-year-old male. Both were already behind bars on unrelated charges when the new warrants were served.

The incident occurred on April 5 at about 4:24 a.m., when the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to reports of shots fired on Denbigh Court.

Arriving officers discovered numerous shell casings scattered in the roadway. They also found that several bullets had struck an occupied home. No injuries were reported inside the residence.

Surveillance footage captured from the neighborhood showed a black Chevrolet Corvette C8 speeding away from Denbigh Court immediately after the gunfire.

Investigators later determined the vehicle had been stolen from Berlin Borough earlier that same day. The Corvette was eventually found abandoned in Galloway Township.

Following a multi-month investigation, authorities identified the juvenile and Martinez as the primary suspects. Criminal charges were officially signed against both individuals on July 2, 2026, including attempted murder, conspiracy, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and receiving a stolen vehicle. The 17-year-old also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a minor.

The 17-year-old suspect was served his juvenile complaints at the Harborfields Atlantic Youth Detention Center, where he was already being held. Martinez was served with his criminal complaints at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he remains.
