Looking for a summer day packed with outdoor fun, live music history, and a sweet treat to finish it off? Take a summer trip to Stony Brook!

The North Shore village is a favorite among locals. "We probably shouldn't tell too many people… they will find us," said resident James Engelbert.

One of the biggest draws is the water. Stony Brook Harbor Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals gives visitors a chance to explore the scenic harbor. "We get them in, the crew shows you how to paddle… there are so many mansions and wildlife to see," said Dyanna Walters.

For music lovers, The Jazz Loft is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Stony Brook, offering performances, exhibits, and jazz history. "We are one of five jazz museums in the United States," said founder Thomas Manuel.

After a day of exploring, Sweet Mama's offers food and ice cream, a local favorite for visitors and families. From paddling the harbor to live jazz and local treats, Stony Brook is full of hidden gems.
