A late-night theft at a local park ended in a rapid arrest and recovery of stolen property thanks to the swift response of Jamesburg police officers.

The incident began Friday at approximately 10:42 p.m., when the Jamesburg Police Department received a report of a golf cart stolen from Green Acres Park on Augusta Street.

Officers immediately responded to the park and launched an active investigation. Within a short time, officers tracking the area made a breakthrough.

Police located the stolen golf cart loaded onto a trailer parked on nearby McKnight Avenue.

As a direct result of the officers’ fast-paced investigation, police arrested Jonathan Kloc, who has been charged with criminal mischief and receiving stolen property.
