A new apartment complex set to open this summer in Bridgeport is advertising rents as high as nearly $10,000 a month.
The August at Steelpointe Harbor is scheduled to open on June 17. The 420-unit waterfront complex offers a wide range of prices, with the highest listed at $9,120 for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment spanning 1,830 square feet.
According to Apartments.com, the average market rent for a three-bedroom unit—averaging 1,019 square feet—in New York State is about $5,256 or more. In Connecticut, a typical unit of around 1,295 square feet rents for approximately $2,869 or higher.
The August at Steelpointe Harbor also includes more affordable options, with studios starting at $1,965 for 447 square feet. Some apartments will be reserved for affordable or middle-income renters.
Amenities include an outdoor saltwater pool, hot tub, fitness center, pickleball court, outdoor grilling areas, and pizza ovens.
News 12 reached out to RCI Group President Robert Christoph Jr. and a realtor for the complex but has not yet received a response.
