A gas leak sparked a fire at a home in Evesham on Monday morning, according to the police.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. near Irongate Road and Nottingham Road. Police say a construction crew struck a gas line, causing a leak.

Nearby homes were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
