A Westfield girl earned her Eagle Scout certification from her local fire department.
Elizabeth Tammaro, with Troop 192, has been designing and building for the past 11 months to create a flag drop box for retired American flags.
Now instead of old American flags being thrown in the trash, they can be dropped off at the box now outside the Westfield Fire Headquarters and Station 2.
