Health officials are warning the public of two raccoons who tested positive for rabies.
The raccoons were found on Sept. 17. near the Round Valley Reservoir in Clinton Township. It is unclear if anyone was exposed to them.
The Hunterdon County Department of Health says if residents in the area had contact with the raccoons between Aug. 29. to Sept 12., they should notify their primary physician or the Hunterdon Medical Center emergency rooms to discuss any concerns.
Officials also recommend all owners of cats, dogs and livestock should have animals vaccinated against rabies.
