11-year-old boy critically injured in Mount Laurel Township backyard explosion

Authorities say the boy and another 10-year-old were in the backyard of the house with a bonfire.

An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after an explosion in Mount Laurel Township Monday night.
It happened along Ramblewood Parkway around 6:15 p.m.
Authorities say the boy and another 10-year-old were in the backyard of the house with a bonfire. He picked up a gas can and started pouring on the fire when the can exploded.
He was flown to the hospital with head-to-toe burns.
The 10-year-old is apparently OK.
