A Howell Township man is facing charges following a shooting incident outside his girlfriend’s home Sunday morning.
Authorities say that at 12:30 a.m., three juvenile friends of the homeowner’s son were sitting in his car in front of the house on Carrie Drive in Howell. They were waiting for a ride-share taxi to arrive. When the ride-share taxi pulled up, the friends got out of their car and inadvertently set off the car alarm.
Officials say that Pietro Ventricelli, 44, came out of his girlfriend’s home and began firing at the ride-share taxi as it drove off. The vehicle was struck three times. No one was hurt.
Ventricelli was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
