(AP) - A Neptune man was shot and killed and hismother injured in an early morning shooting inside their Neptunehome.
Authorities say 35-year-old Daryle Tyson was hit multiple timesMonday by gunfire that came through the window of a first-floorbedroom. His mother, 68-year-old Helen Tyson, was hit in the shin.
Both were taken to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center inNeptune. Helen Tyson was treated for her wounds and Daryle Tysonwas pronounced dead.
First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw Jr.says the shooting appears to be a deliberate act. He saysinvestigators are trying to determine the intended target.
