A dog that was found wandering in Trenton with a rope embedded in its flesh is on the mend and in a new home.
News 12 New Jersey reported earlier this week about the case involving the dog known as Stillman. The dog was found malnourished and with a severe wound on his neck.
Stillman has been receiving treatment over the last three days and is on his way to making a full recovery.
He was also introduced to a new foster family who will care for him and his wound until he can be put up for adoption.
The dog was initially taken to Trenton Animals Rock – an animal shelter in the city. The nonprofit has already raised $5,800 to help with medical bills.
