The Philadelphia woman involved in the Wildwood violent beach arrest caught on video appeared on Good Morning America this morning to share her side of the story.
Emily Weinman, 20, says the incident has left her feeling anxious.
Weinman says her neck and back were hurt in the confrontation, but she says the negative responses people have made about her have been upsetting.
The lawyer for Weinman, who appeared with her, says she was originally charged with misdemeanors, but when the video went viral, her charges were upgraded.
They maintain police overreacted.
She has been charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault, and assaulting a police officer.
Most recently, Cape May prosecutors have said they will not press charges against the police officers involved in the video.
The video shows an officer punching Weinman in the head during the altercation.
Weinman was suspected of underage drinking on May 26.
Police say she became belligerent after officers asked her to submit to a Breathalyzer test.
She refused to give her name and began walking away.
Three officers, John Hillman, Robert Jordan and Thomas Cannon, attempted to arrest her.
They took her down to the sand, and she spit on them.
According to investigators, after reviewing the video, they have determined there's not enough evidence to warrant criminal charges against the officers.
All three have been on desk duty.
They say the video shows the woman assaulting the officers first.
An internal affairs investigation is ongoing.
AP wire services helped contribute to this report.
