U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis attended the Latina Women's Brunch Sunday in North Bergen to urge Hispanic women in the state to re-elect Gov. Jon Corzine.
Solis is just one of many prominent Democrats, including President Barack Obama, to campaign for Corzine. The governor's campaign officials say Hispanic voters could determine the gubernatorial election.
Republican candidate Chris Christie has also courted Latino voters. The Republican Governors' Association produced a Spanish-language radio spot last summer on behalf of Christie.
Vice President Joe Biden will campaign for Corzine in New Jersey Monday, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton on Tuesday and Obama on Wednesday.
