Residents in Westwood say that they are unhappy with plans to build a new Wendy’s restaurant in neighboring Emerson.

The new Wendy’s will be built on Main Street in Emerson and would include two drive-thrus and an outdoor seating area.

But people who live across the street from the proposed site, in Westwood, say that it would cause too much traffic in an already busy area.

“Too many cars. Too many trucks. There are cops here almost every week giving summons and I think it’s ridiculous they’re going to put in a Wendy’s. I don’t know how they’re going to handle it,” says Domenick Esposito.

Esposito says that if they do build the Wendy’s, he plans to move out of his home that he has lived in for 12 years.
