An early morning water main break in South Hackensack is causing traffic headaches for those wanting to drive west on Route 46.
The westbound lanes are closed from Phillips Avenue to Huyler Street, near Teterboro Airport, because of the break.
Crews from Veolia Water are on the scene along with contractors in an effort to stop the water from flowing down the highway and eventually repair the break on the 12-inch line.
A Veolia Water representative says that 20 customers are without water. Some businesses are affected, but no homeowners.
There is no word yet on how long the repairs will take.
