A water main break Friday disrupted service at the Garden State Correctional Facility in Burlington County.

Crews were working on the water main during ongoing maintenance when an underground main ruptured, disrupting service.

“Incarcerated persons and staff were provided bottled water for drinking, additional water supplies for hot meals, and temporary toilet facilities were on site,” a spokesperson wrote in a statement.

The major repairs have been completed, but some smaller repairs are ongoing.
