Businesses and outside events will be impacted by Tropical Storm Ophelia, expected to produce some drenching rainfall and gusty wind.

Down at the shore, the wind was picking up Friday evening and temperatures dropped.

The boardwalk in Asbury Park was not as busy as usual for a Friday night in September. Businesses are packing up. It was unclear if they will remain open throughout the weekend.

Just across from the ocean, Asbury Fest opened for its first night with tents and tables getting knocked down by the wind. Vendors and organizers say they hope Mother Nature gives them a break.

"Tonight should be fine, tomorrow is the day we are not 100% sure about, but weather changes," says Mat Whelan, executive director of the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce.

Whelan says it is a rain-or-shine event.
