Spring has taken a backseat to cold temperatures and gusty winds across the Garden State today.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says temperatures were at or below freezing in most towns this morning. Gregorio says highs will be in the lower 50s today.
Meanwhile, a red flag warning is in effect for northwest, central and southern New Jersey until 4 p.m.
Gregorio says chilly temperatures are expected to stick around for most of the week.
