Light snow could slow the ride home for commuters in New Jersey this afternoon.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologist Michele Powers says that snow will continue to fall into the evening. A winter weather advisory is in place for the southwest corner of the state, including Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties. Powers says travel could become hazardous tonight.
Powers says snow totals won't be excessive and will mainly stick to grassy surfaces, but not roads. Roads will be wet tonight with sub-freezing temperatures, however, and things could become slick.
Quiet weather is expected for the rest of the week until a winter blast heads our way this weekend. There is a chance of snow again Saturday, with dry and cold conditions for Sunday.
