Storm Watch Team meteorologists are tracking the potential for severe storms that may arrive by Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to remain cooler on Wednesday but could warm to nearly 70 by Thursday. That rapid warmup has the potential to create dangerous weather around the state.
Tuesday night will see some clouds, with mainly clear skies by the overnight hours. Temperatures will cool into the upper-20s.
Wednesday will start off cloudy, with the potential for a light wintry mix by the afternoon. Rain is also possibly for the evening. Daytime highs on Wednesday will only reach the mid-40s. Overnight lows will dip to the low-40s.
Thursday will also start off cloudy, but rain is expected to develop by the afternoon. Daytime highs will shoot up into the upper-60s and low-70s. But this may create severe thunderstorms with strong wind and heavy rain. The rain may last into the evening. Overnight lows will be around 50 degrees.
Temperatures will stay in the low-60s and upper-50s for the rest of the week, under a mix of sun and clouds.
