New Jersey can look forward to some sunny skies on Wednesday, but the weather is expected to get a bit wet before the Memorial Day holiday.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says he is still working out the timing of the storms but that Friday evening could see some rain.
Tuesday’s overnight hours could see some light rain in southern portions of the state. Overnight lows will cool to the upper-50s.
Wednesday will see mostly sunny skies with some cloud coverage. No rain is expected during the day. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the upper-60s and low-70s. Overnight lows will be around 55 degrees.
The clouds are expected to return on Thursday, with some light rain expected. Daytime highs are expected to be in the upper-60s, with overnight lows around 55 degrees. Curren says that overall it won’t be a very nice day.
A storm system is expected to come through by Friday. Curren says that the timing of this story is still being worked out, but it is expected to pass through New Jersey by Friday afternoon or evening. Daytime highs should be in the low-80s, with overnight lows around 63 degrees.
Memorial Day weekend should see more chance of sunshine and less chance of rain. Temperatures should be in the mid- to upper-70s.
