A stockpile of weapons was seized from a Passaic County home after police were called there for a domestic disturbance.
Ringwood police were called to the home on Skyline Drive Friday evening. While investigating, they found the weapons.
"I have never seen anything like this," says Ringwood Police Chief Joseph Walker. "Particularly interesting was the bunker under the basement. There was a trap door and you would open it and there was a regular bunker under the basement."
The weapons include handguns, rifles and some illegal automatic weapons. Police say many of the guns were collectibles from World War II.
The Passaic County bomb squad had to be called in to deactivate an old explosive device. Nearby homes were briefly evacuated as a precaution.
Federal officers are helping Ringwood police take inventory of the weapons.
