'We demand accountability': Local leaders denounce anti-Muslim hate in Piscataway

Local leaders gathered in Piscataway Sunday to condemn anti-Muslim hate.
The rally was in the aftermath of a truck with anti-Muslim messages driving through four central Jersey Islamic centers.
There have been 21 anti-Muslim hate crime in New Jersey this year.
“We demand a formal investigation, accountability for those responsible and condemnation of this incident from law enforcement and the administration of the towns in which this incident took place,” said Muslim Community of New Jersey Board Representative Amjad Iqbal.
A rabbi and a reverend also attended the event to show solidarity with the Muslim community.
