A new survey from WalletHub ranked
New Jersey No. 1 in its list of the 2021 Best States to Live
In.
The state
ranked 49th in affordability, 32nd in economy, fifth in education
and health, seventh in quality of life, and first in safety.
New York came in third, behind
Massachusetts. Idaho and Minnesota rounded out the top five.
“Being retired, a lot of
people ask what your next move is, where are you going to go, what state you
got to go. And you know, I never really thought about leaving New
Jersey,” says Christopher Lukenda, of
Linden.
The bottom five states were South
Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alaska and New Mexico.
