A Wayne-based company is in a bit of a pickle over their recipe.
A new lawsuit was filed accusing Patriot Pickle of ripping off a 100-year-old recipe. The Wayne-based company is accused of violating trade secrets by creating practically identical products as Massachusetts-based Grillo’s Pickles. This is a long legal battle between two businesses that worked together for nearly a decade.
Grillo’s Pickles has accused Patriot Pickle of violating trade secrets by selling products to Whole Foods and Wahlburgers. The company says this is a big deal because Patriot's actions could drive them out of business.
