Two dozen people in Livingston Township were left without water service following a water main break on Friday.

Officials say it happened on Rale Terrace near the East Cedar Street intersection.

Crews told News 12 there was a split in the line, likely from pressure due to more wells being active amid the heat.

The pipe is being replaced, according to officials. However, it is unclear when water service will be restored.
