If you travel on Interstate 280 in Parsippany, there is a commuter alert to know before heading out the door Monday morning.

The Route 280 off ramp is open onto New Road. However, traffic is not able to head north on New Road due to the water main break, according to Parsippany police.

Traffic will be detoured onto Edwards Road which meets up with Route 46 east. Southbound is fully open.

The northbound lanes on New Road will be closed between Edwards Road/Wawa and the area of 222 New Road from 2 to 11 a.m. on March 4 for water main repairs.

Southbound traffic will remain open unless the repairs necessitate the closure.
