Residents in Hoboken were advised to boil their water after a 36-inch water main broke in Jersey City.

The incident has led to low water pressure for many and complete loss of water service for some in the area.

Crews from Veolia Water have closed Jersey Avenue in both directions at the 18th Street intersection to address the break. Efforts are underway to return water services to normal.
