About two dozen people are without water in Livingston following a water main break Friday afternoon.
The break happened near Rale Terrace and East Cedar Street.
Crews told News 12 that there was a split in the line, likely from pressure, since more wells are on due to the heat.
The pipe is being replaced but it is not clear when service will be restored.
Town officials are telling customers that if they see any discoloration in the water, they should run the cold faucets until it runs clear.
