Viewing services were held Tuesday for a Jersey City police lieutenant who was struck and killed by a vehicle on his way to work last week.
Friends and family said goodbye to 49-year-old Lt. Christopher Robateau, who was struck and killed by an SUV. Robateau had gotten out of his car to help another motorist on the New Jersey Turnpike in Carteret.
Funeral services will be held Thursday.
The lieutenant leaves behind a wife and three children.
