Vista Park in Paterson is a step closer to becoming a reality.
The project got another $770,000 from state and federal programs. It was started three years ago.
"The air, the land, the water, our natural and open spaces, they don't belong to the government. They don't belong to the governor, or to me or the mayor. They belong to the people. It's just our job to take care of them for you. And, yes. Folks have to feel safe. But, one of the things that make people feel safe is having a place of beauty to enjoy with their families,” says New Jersey Dept. of Health Commissioner Shawn Latourette.
Funding for Vista Park is now nearing $2 million.
