One of the nation’s most significant war
memorials arrived at the County College of Morris in Randolph. The Vietnam
memorial Moving Wall travels throughout the country.
The wall is a half-size replica of the one in Washington, D.C. It
will be on display at CCM through Monday.
"We have often said that the Vietnam veterans never got a proper
welcome home,” said Vietnam veteran
Bill Menzel. “And the town of Randolph
declared July 7 through 11, Vietnam Veterans Tribute Days, to give them the
kind of welcome they should've gotten 55 years ago and that's what this is all
about."
The Wall arrived on the CCM campus Thursday by a motorcade led by the Warriors
Watch Riders, a support group for veterans.
