Veteran to auction off handmade dollhouse to benefit NY firefighter
A Bergen County World War II veteran is donating a dollhouse he built in an effort to raise funds for a New York firefighter.
Tom Kneeshaw, 99, says that he has been building dollhouses for a long time. He will donate one of them to be auctioned off to benefit 19-year-old firefighter Will McCue. McCue is a firefighter who has a blood infection and will need prosthetics.
All proceeds from the auction of the dollhouse will help pay for McCue’s medical expenses.
Kneeshaw says that he spent many years as a firefighter after the war and considers McCue to be a brother.
The Red Knights Association along with the New City, New York Fire Department will auction off the dollhouse at their annual fundraiser to help McCue and his family.
