Nearly two dozen people were left without a home after a fire broke out inside an adjacent vacant building on Seymour Avenue Sunday afternoon in Newark, New Jersey.

Crews responded to the scene, where smoke was captured in video on the Citizen App.

The fire started inside a vacant building, causing the roof to collapse.

Flames then spread to nearby homes.

No one was injured, but about 17 adults and four children were displaced.

There was no word on the cause.
