USGS: Minor earthquake shakes part of Hunterdon County

The earthquake was reported around 2:45 p.m. in Califon in the Farmersville section of town.

A Magnitude 1.6 earthquake shook parts of Hunterdon County on Monday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was reported around 2:45 p.m. in Califon in the Farmersville section of town.

There were no reports of any injuries or damage.

Califon is located about 5 miles away from Tewksbury, which is where a Magnitude 4.8 earthquake rattled New Jersey in April of 2024.
