A person is safe after being pulled from the Hudson River in Hoboken early Wednesday morning.
Hoboken officers responded to the area of Pier C on Sinatra Drive at about 12:45 a.m., according to a spokesperson for the Hoboken Police Department. First responders used a device known as a water bag to safely help the person out of the water.
According to police, the individual fell into the river while trying to retrieve personal property that had fallen into the water.
The victim was checked by a Hoboken EMS crew at the scene but refused medical attention.
