Sentencing for former Sen. Bob Menendez has been delayed by three months.

The United States Attorney’s Office confirms that Menendez will now be sentenced on Jan. 29.

The former senator was convicted on all 16 counts after federal prosecutors accused him of bribery, acting as a foreign agent for Egypt, obstruction of justice, extortion and conspiring to commit those crimes.

Menendez faces decades in prison.

The disgraced senator stepped down from his position in the Senate in August. Gov. Phil Murphy appointed George Helmy to fill the role for the time being.

Democratic Rep. Andy Kim and Republican Curtis Bashaw are running to take Menendez’s former seat in the November election.
