New Jersey Lt. Governor Dale Caldwell is reportedly under internal investigation over allegations of inappropriate behavior with women and possible ethics violations.
News 12 reached out to Gov. Mikie Sherrill's office for comment. Senior adviser Sean Higgins sent the following statement:
"The Governor would take any reports of inappropriate behavior or misconduct extremely seriously and expects our public officials to hold themselves to the highest standards. We cannot confirm or deny potential personnel matters."
That did not go well with New Jersey GOP Chair Christine Giordano Hanlon.
This year marks 25 years since the worst terror attack on American soil. It will be 25 years since al-Qaida terrorists attacked the American way of life by killing nearly 3,000 innocent people.
It was a moment in United States history when time seemed to stand still, and, for a while at least, everybody came together as a nation. A quarter of a century later, the American mission remains the same: never forget.
The Gary Sinise Foundation is on the front lines of doing just that by asking people to share where they were on 9/11 to preserve the stories of those who lived it. The reason for this is that an entire generation of Americans has grown up with no memory of what happened.
The Midterms are now less than two months away and the balance of power is up for grabs in Congress.
One race garnering national attention is New Jersey's 7th Congressional District where former Navy helicopter pilot and healthcare executive Rebecca Bennett is trying to unseat Rep. Tom Kean Jr. and flip the seat blue.
The race is in the national spotlight after Kean Jr. spent several months away from Washington, D.C.
He said after his return that he was hospitalized and treated for depression.
Since then, he has largely avoided the media.
News 12 has extended numerous invitations to Kean Jr. to appear on "Power & Politics," but he has yet to accept.
This week, however, his father, Former Gov. Tom Kean Sr., spoke on his behalf with an ad. His son would say he's secured millions in federal funding for New Jersey, lowered costs for mental health care and pushed to increase the SALT deduction.
The two women charged in a crash that killed a 9-month-old boy in Jackson were ordered to remain behind bars.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the women are in the country illegally.
Prosecutors say 20-year-old Maria Cobon-Guzman, of Guatamala, did not have a license. Last month, she was learning how to drive when she hit the baby, his 5-year-old sister and the mother in a supermarket parking lot.
Ariadna Lazaro-Flores, of Mexico, is accused of handing her the keys.
