Doctor house calls aren't archaic to Dr. Keith Reinsdorf, they're business as usual.

Reinsdorf attends to approximately 100 patients at their homes in Middlesex County. Most of his patients are too weak to leave their residences.

The Home Visit Service began last year when Reinsdorf was hired by UMDNJ. Reinsdorf says he never expected in medical school that he would be providing home care, but that seeing patients in their natural habitats helps him tailor-suit his medical decisions.

"You get to see the patient the way they truly live," he says. "What their environment is like, what their family interaction is like, what type of support systems they have."
