Two Pennsylvania residents were killed and three other people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday in Old Bridge, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and the Old Bridge Police Department.

Police received a report of the crash at about 12 a.m. on Route 9 South near the Grand Marquis Banquet Hall.

According to investigators, a Ford SUV driven by a 35-year-old man from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, was leaving the banquet hall and attempting to make a left turn onto Route 9 North when it was struck on the driver's side by a Lexus SUV driven by a 34-year-old Old Bridge man.

The victims, identified as Anthony Pizzo, 32, and Lindsey Clarke, 33, both of Wyoming, Pennsylvania, were back-seat passengers in the Ford SUV, according to authorities. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the Lexus driver was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with serious injuries. The Ford SUV driver and a front-seat passenger were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
