A school official in Trenton says a fast food restaurant scheduled to be built near a high school is a recipe for disaster.
McDonald's plans to open a restaurant at the corner of Chambers and Hamilton, directly across the street from Trenton Central High School.
Alex Bethea, who is the Trenton School District vice president and a city councilman, says the McDonald's will cause students to be late, skip out for lunch and lead to fighting due to crowds at the restaurant.
The zoning board has already given McDonald's its OK, and most city council members supported street repairs to give delivery trucks easier access. Officials add that there also hasn't been much community opposition.
