(08/09/06) TRENTON ? A homeowner in Trenton says he?s fed up with the garbage dumping and illegal activities that take place in a vacant lot next to his home.
Stanley Sostak says the lot has become a hangout for vagrants, drug dealers and prostitutes. He fears it?s only a matter of time before the crime affects his personal safety. In addition, Sostak says people have been using the lot as an illegal garbage dump.
Leonard Pucciatti, the Trenton Director of Inspections, says residents must have patience. According to Pucciatti, his department will respond to all complaints in 72 hours. However, Sostak says he?s not looking for a mere cleanup. He wants a pedestrian bridge torn down and a fence erected to permanently solve the problem.
