The state's Department of Transportation is set to begin repairing a flood-prone section of Route 22 in Essex County.The Transportation Department says the section of Route 22 between mile markers 58.1 and 58.8 is one of the top 10 areas in New Jersey in need of drainage improvement.Transportation officials say there should be one lane open in each direction during normal driving hours. Some closures may be possible during weekends or overnight hours. The Department of Transportation says it hopes the repairs will be completed by the fall.
