Police say four masked suspects broke into a Toms River home overnight on Saturday.
Officials say video home surveillance provided by the homeowner revealed the suspects dressed in all black wearing face masks and gloves, got out of a white BMW and approached the home. They say while one suspect entered the driver side door of the victim’s BMW that was parked in their driveway and rummaged through the vehicle, two other suspects attempted to enter another vehicle parked in the driveway. Police say the suspects were unsuccessful since the car was locked.
The suspects then broke into the home and began to rummage through the kitchen and home, officials say. Two of them tried to go into the homeowner’s bedroom, but police say the homeowners woke up and scared them off.
Four burglars fled the area in a white BMW that was reported stolen out of Bayonne, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Toms River Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-349-0150, ext. 1346.
