A recent tire recall has thousands of New Jersey drivers checking their wheels before they head out on the road.
Hundreds of thousands of tires imported from China were recalled and declared unsafe last week.
New Jersey's Attorney General Office says it will investigate Foreign Tire Sales, the Union Township-based company responsible for importing an estimated 450,000 allegedly defective tires. It will investigate whether or not FTS knew the tires were defective.
The recalled tires were sold under the Westlake, Telluride, Compass and YKS brands.
Customers are advised to replace their tires immediately if they have purchased any of the recalled tires.
