Prosecutors: 3 men arrested for string of armed robberies, car theft in Union County

An investigation led to the identification of three men as suspects in five armed robberies from December 2022 and January 2023.

Union County prosecutors say three men have been arrested in five armed robberies between December 2022 and January 2023. Prosecutors say the three men are also accused of a robbing a car in Linden.
Alfred Pierre, 37, and Daron Thomas, 32, were arrested on April 4 and charged with multiple counts of robbery and weapons offenses, according to prosecutors.
Isaiah Barrett, 32, was previously arrested in one of the robberies that occurred in Linden on Dec. 26, 2022, according to prosecutors. Officials say Barrett has been in custody in the Essex County Jail, where he was served warrants for multiple counts of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault and weapons for the additional incidents. Barrett has also been charged with falsely reporting a crime to law enforcement, prosecutors say.
Prosecutors say an investigation led to the identification of Barrett, Pierre and Thomas, as the suspects in five armed robberies. This investigation also led to the identification of Barrett and Thomas as the suspects in a carjacking that took place in Linden back in January, according to prosecutors.
